Happy Thanksgiving

Emmy just had her first Thanksgiving! We had a nice Thanksgiving at home with some friends. We look forward to traveling to see our familes for Christmas.

Emmy will be 5 months old in a couple of days. She is entertaining us daily with new tricks and discoveries. She has become very proficient at rolling over and scooting herself across her blanket. She has her two bottom teeth and has started rice cereal this month. We have also introduced her to bananas and avacados. She still LOVES her bathtime! She has discovered her feet, and I have found her sucking her toes several times already. Yuck!

Here are a few pictures from the last month.

 Rice cereal...yummy!

Happy Thanksgiving! Daddy can make Emmy smile anytime!

Sweet baby girl.

4 Months!

Emmy is 4 months old today! A lot has happened since my last post. We have endured an earthquake and a hurricane! The hurricane knocked a tree on our house, and we were out of the house for almost 2 months! We are finally back living at home, and it is wonderful! Emmy was so good during our stay in the hotel. She is happy to be back in her crib and nursery again. She is smiling and cooing all the time now, and we have heard a few giggles too. Just this week she started rolling over. She has only done it a few times, but we are keeping a closer eye on her!
I have been back at work since the end of August, and Emmy seems to be doing very well at daycare. We LOVE Lucy, her daycare provider! Lucy gives excellent advice, as I am always asking questions! It is hard leaving her each day, but it is very nice to know she is in good hands. Here are some pictures from the past two months of sweet Emmy's life. We look forward to Emmy's first trip to Arkansas next weekend.

We visited Great-Grammy and Great-Grandaddy in Fort Worth in September.

Sweet Baby Girl!

I apologize for taking so long to post more pictures. I have been bugged enough that I decided it was time! Emmy has grown so much since I last posted. She is almost 8 weeks old now! At her one month appointment she was 10 pounds, 10 ounces...in the 80th percentile for weight and height! We took her on her first plane ride to my sister's wedding in Florida when she was 5 weeks old. She did great! She slept the whole way both plane rides! She has started smiling, and we are noticing her being more alert and aware. This is my last week to stay home with her before going back to work, and I am really sad about it. I have loved this time with her! Here are some recent pictures of our little girl.
Nana and Aunt Casey came for a visit when she was 2 weeks old.

Our photographer for her newborn pictures had to cancel several times, so I decided to set up shop and take them myself. Here are a few from our session together when she was 4 weeks old.

Here she is with her dress that Nana bought her for Aunt Jessica's wedding. Ignore the ugly couch in the background!
And with her mommy!
She absolutely loves bathtime! She is so calm and sweet!

She's Here!!!

We welcomed Emerson Louise Condra to the world on June 30, 2011. She weighed 7 pounds, 14 ounces and was 21 1/4 inches long. Jennifer's water broke at 3:30 in the morning, and Emmy was born at 3:47 P.M. Life has changed around the Condra house, and we have definitely fallen for our little bundle of joy. Ci Ci was a huge help the first week, and RL's mom and sister will be here this week. We are excited to introduce her to the rest of the family at Jessica's wedding in August. Here are a few pictueres of Emmy's first 11 days.

She has "tingers" like her mommy and great-grandmommy Joan!

Going home from the hospital. Doesn't the carseat look huge for her!
Emmy's first bath. She didn't love it but was so calm afterward.

Already a hog fan!

 Sweet girl!
Stay tuned. I will try my best to keep the blog updated with pictures.

The Nursery!

We are finally finished with the nursery! We are just waiting on one more thing...Emmy! She is due tomorrow, and I will be induced on Friday, July 1, if she doesn't make an appearance before then. We are more than ready to meet her! Here are a few pictures of the nursery. We think it came together very nicely, thanks to the help of our creative friends and family. We will keep you posted on her arrival.

Shower Time

I feel so blessed to have such wonderful friends, family, and coworkers to throw us some amazing baby showers. They were all so much fun! Here are just a few pictures of each shower we had. We are about three weeks away from meeting our baby girl, and we are getting very excited! We're still waiting on her bedding to come in so we can post pictures of her nursery.

My girls threw this shower in Fayetteville. So cute with the birds' nests and baby accessories hanging in the tree and delicious cake pops. It was so fun catching up with all the girls! Thank you so much!
The food was awesome! Check out the bird's nest mobile made by Courtney....it's already hanging in the nursery!
Nana (R.L.'s mom), me, and CiCi (Jennifer's mom)

Jennifer's aunts, uncles, and cousins threw a great shower too. How creative is the cradle of roses with Emmy's initial? And the hanging clothes and wreath with her name! Huge thanks to my family! What a great shower.

 Party favors...love them!
And my DC girlfriends were so creative with the cutest monogrammed dress and hanging dresses at Shawna's house.
Check out the watermelon carriage! Thanks, Blair!

And finally, my coworkers threw such a fun shower at school too! Look at the adorable diaper cake, compliments of Leona! So cute!

Thanks so much, everyone! We appreciate you sharing in our excitement and anticipation for little Emmy! We can't wait for you all to meet her soon.
